Lahntours campsite in Runkel
Our Lahntours campsite is directly situated at the Lahn in the quaint town Runkel between the Westerwald and the Taunus (big state forests). The nearby cities Limburg and Weilburg with their historic city centres are also worth a visit, as well as you should not miss the castle in Runkel.
The campsite features a big area with a original Indian tipi village. There are tipis for 6 people available. So that you can enjoy a proper campfire atmosphere the campground sells firewood for the many fire pits scattered around. Our little guests can burn some extra energy on the integrated playground.
In the winter of 2016/2017, a comprehensive renovation of the sanitary facilities was implemented. Thanks to the modernization measure, we can offer our guests a completely modern campsite with contemporary furnishings: in addition to the complete renovation of the sanitary facilities and the construction of a barrier-free (fully accessible) facility, all showers and sinks have hot water because of to the installation of a modern gas boiler for environmentally friendly hot water. With the optimization of the room layout, we were able to create a new scullery and a new disposal station for camping toilets for our guests. Not only new premises and a new kitchen and storage room for the bistro were built, also a renovation of the entire sewer system and the power system could be successfully carried out.
Amuni (Pasta, Pizza & Vino) provides original Italian cuisine. You rather take care of the food yourself? No problem, the local supermarket is only a short 2 minutes walk away. You like to keep some comfort? On request we can provide you with a table set or charcoal grill.
